Rarely do we put up blogs that solicit something. But every once in a while I run across a good cause, and this is post is about one of them, especially if you’re a person of faith. Athletes In Action, which is an organization that deals with sports ministry, will be hosting a golf event on March 19th, and they are looking for participants and sponsors.

Jeff Darlington of The Miami Herald reports via twitter that he’s been told that free agent linebacker Jason Taylor is taking his time with free agency because there’s no salary cap. Darlington writes that Taylor said four teams are interested in him, including the Dolphins.

When a member of the Miami Dolphins’ staff delivered Ryan Clark to his hotel following an afternoon visit to the team’s facility Sunday, both sides agreed Clark would extend his trip another night to work toward finishing a contract with the former free agent.

Brandon Marshall’s one of the NFL’s most dynamic young receivers. Despite all his talent he’s out on the free agent market, being dangled by the Broncos for a first-round pick, and most Miami Dolphins fans can’t understand why the Trifecta wouldn’t touch him with a ten foot pole. All you see is the roster’s average receiver unit, which is filled with decent but not spectacular talent, and you lust after a big time playmaker.

It seems as though the Dolphins’ activity in free agency is slowing. Outside of their one big signing, Miami has been relatively quiet. While I’d expect another move or two between now and the draft in April - nothing big, of course - it’s clear that the Dolphins will head into next month’s draft with a number of holes to fill.

Anticipating that Steelers safety Ryan Clark would sign with another team after he became a free agent, the Steelers may have been hasty in finding his replacement. After a visit from free agent safety Will Allen, the Steelers inked a three year deal with him worth $4.4 million and includes a $975 thousand signing bonus.  The offer comes without entertaining any other players at that position, in anticipation that he would replace Clark. Before the day ended, Clark also reached an agreement with the Steelers after contemplating an offer from the Miami Dolphins

Not much news going on in the world of the Miami Dolphins but what little news there has been has been significant.  So with that here is an update on what it going on with our Phins. First and foremost, we all want to wish Jim “Mad Dog” Mandich a full return to health as he has been diagnosed with cancer of the bile duct.
